Each Person is Essential

There are times where we think that we can’t offer up anything, because we are not good enough. Or we think that we do not have the capability of doing something. All of these negative thoughts about ourselves are all lies. We are all made with a purpose and we all have different gifts that God has equipped us with. Listen to Pastor Buege’s devotion on 1 Corinthians 12:18-20 as he talks about God seeing all Christians as essential and important people to Him and his plan of Salvation.

And here is a prayer for today:

I feel useless, Lord. Unmissed. Unneeded. Like the people of Israel i exile sayin, “Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone” (Ezekiel 37:11). But in Baptism you brought my dry bones to life. You made my heart a temple where your glory dwells, from which rivers of lving water gush forth (John 7:38). You hold in your hand my life and all my ways (Daniel 5:23). As I prayerfully carry out my Christian duties, I reveal your glory to the world, whether I can notice it or not. Help me believe this and find my usefulness in you. Amen.
