Hallowed Be Your Name…
Why would Jesus include such a request when He was teaching us how to pray?
You see we actually love our own name more than God’s name!
We’d love to think whatever we want to think and never have anyone tell us we’re wrong!
We really don’t like hallowing someone else name!
Join us as we dig a little deeper into what “hallowed” means and what this request means as we look at Matthew 5:16!

Prayer:
Dear Father,
As we look to you, let us look to your name and your name alone. You, dear Father, are above all things, and let your name be praised forever. Help us not to look at our selfish desires, but to you. Let us look to you always in our times of trouble and strife for you are our present help and need. Let your name be hallowed above all names, dear Father, and give us the reassurance with what that brings. Our hope is in heaven, our joy is in you, and your name can be one that we can always rely on both now and always.
In your loving grace,
Amen.
