He Keeps Me Calm

He.  Keeps.  Me.  Calm.

Here is a prayer for today:

O Holy Spirit, fix our eyes on Jesus, the one enthroned in heaven!  We are small, but you are not.  We are helpless, but you are penetrating.  You call us to be your own people, and assure us of our heavenly status through your Word and your Sacraments.  Lord, keep us calm!  Handle all the big stuff on our behalf!  We ask this only because we have Christ’s holy name written on our hearts, and it is in his name that we pray.  Amen.
