Dear Heavenly Father, when sin entered the world, everything in heaven and earth was doomed to decay. Help me to enjoy the things that pass away, but without ever setting my heart on them. Give me peace that passes understanding as I set my heart instead on things above. Give me holy confidence that when I carry the promises of Christ, I hold something that NEVER passes away! It’s in your Son’s holy name that I pray, Amen.
