Love that Lasts!

Withering and destructive…that’s an accurate description for the heat wave we’re having in Houston this entire summer, so it seems.  If you drive by our church right now it has never been more obvious to see which part of our grass is sprinkled regularly and which parts aren’t.

You know what else is withering and destructive?  Your sinfulness.  My sinfulness.  And that is what makes God’s UNWITHERING, UPBUILDING, ETERNAL LOVE so precious!

Listen to today’s message from Psalm 103:15-17.
We hope you enjoy it!

Loving Savior, we cannot fathom how long eternity is, and yet we can deeply enjoy the eternal love you offer us.  Give us a faith that trusts you boldly, a faith that trusts exclusively in your love.  Turn our attention away from worldly matters, attractions and irritants – for those things will always wither and never last.  Impress upon me the depth, width, height and thoroughness of your unfailing love, for me and for all people, in Christ alone.  It’s in his holy, precious name that I pray, Amen.
