“In the dark.” That’s not where we want to be, and that’s certainly not where we want to remain. But chew on this: our God can turn our darkness into light. He did so when he created Christian faith in our dark hearts. He keeps doing so as he forgives our sin every day, without stopping. He will deliver us from this sin-darkened world and into the unfathomable light of heaven.

Dear Savior, when we are confused, bring clarity through your holy truth. When we are afraid, warm us with your love. When we grow discouraged, lift our hearts away from things below and towards things above. Turn our darkness into light, as only you can do! Amen.
