Do you ever feel like your to-do list is a half a mile long and yet your energy to work on it is waning? Instead of feeling energized to tackle it, you’re overwhelmed, afraid, or sad…the opposite of thriving.
Compare that approach to life with someone who has plenty to do, but doesn’t feel overwhelmed. Instead they have energy and find joy in their daily tasks and challenges.
I think we’d all agree that we’d prefer to be like the second person! In today’s devotion we’ll look at Haggai 2:4-5 and see how that possibility is a lot easier than you think!
God bless your time in worship!

Prayer
Too often, Lord, I put my own priorities above what you are prioritizing. It’s easy to be selfish with my concerns and lose track of what you are concerned about. This attitude will always lead to some combination of being proud, overwhelmed and frustrated. Rid me of my selfishness, LORD! I want to thrive, and not just survive, as I serve you with all my heart. In Christ’s saving name I pray, Amen.
