And here is a prayer for today:  Lord Jesus, you told the disciples they were no longer slaves, but friends (John 15-13-15). Thank you for the gift of friends. These friends share in our joy and sorrow. Help us grow together in our faith and love for you, Lord. Strengthen these relationships so that they are steadfast and unwavering. We thank you, constantly,  that you have blessed us with these relationships. So whenever we are in trouble or distress, pain or need, our friends in Christ come to our rescue, just like you did. By sending us a Savior, who is still our friend. Both now and forever in heaven.  Amen.
