Thirsty? How About Some Living Water?

Summer is right around the corner!

For those living in Houston that means you better be paying attention to how much water you’re drinking!  It is VERY hot and humid here and in the summer you can hardly keep enough water in you because the sweat just pours out!

It’s one thing to have a thirsty body.  What if your thirsty body is in a land that doesn’t have much water? Being thirsty in a drought-stricken land would be a terrible place to be!  You wouldn’t be able to survive there very long.

As rough as that would be, what about a thirsty soul?  What about a soul that’s begging for peace with God and coming up empty?  Jesus addresses the thirsty soul in today’s devotion as we look at John 7.

Prayer:
Christ, we come from desert places, deepest thirst unsatisfied. Lead us to the waters flowing from the cross on which you died. Jesus source of living water, may we drink of you and live! Amen.
