Tough Times = Tightened Trust

King David was a poet and musician. He wrote a decent amount of the Psalms that we have in our Bible today. The Psalm that we will be hearing about today is Psalm 34.

David had to leave Saul. Saul was trying to kill David, because he was jealous of David. At first David found peace and comfort in a place of hiding instead of going to God right away. But the people started to recognize him. Then David finally understood that peace and comfort would be found in the LORD. So David wrote a Psalm about this. Watch and listen as Pastor Buege talks more about King David and Psalm 34.

And here is a prayer for today:
Lord God, you know our human weaknesses and frailties. You know our needs and cares. We do not in any way deserve your help, Lord, but we truly need it. Therefore, we come to you in this time of need. Grant us peace of mind so that we may face the difficulties that now confront us. Strengthen our weak faith, lead us iwth your strong right hand, and work things out so that they serve our eternal good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
