Prayer: Lord, apart from you we were gross, repulsive, and wrong sinners. The sins of our heart, our words, and our actions separated us from you and kept us from entering the kingdom of God. But that is exactly why you sent Jesus into the world. Jesus came into a world full of sinfulness and yet did not sin. He lived a perfect life for us and was punished in our place in order to pay for our disgusting sin. Now, we are washed clean in his holy and precious blood. Because of Jesus, we are no longer gross, repulsive, and wrong sinners but we are washed saints who have heaven as our home. Strengthen us to put off the filth of sin and continue to live as washed children of God. Amen.
