What Are You Harboring?

Today we’re continuing our series of devotion messages on Psalm 103.  There’s a word in this verse that doesn’t come up a lot in the Bible – the word “harbor.”

Have you ever asked yourself what you’re harboring in your soul today?  Maybe it’s something positive that brings joy and happiness…and life sure is wonderful, isn’t it?  Maybe it’s something negative that fuels lies and bitterness…and life has a very different outlook, to say the least.  Harboring things in our heart can be good and bad.

What is God harboring about you? That’s where we’re going today with this message!  We hope you enjoy it!

Gracious God, it is incredible to me that your mercy is new every morning, without rank or bias.  Thank you for promising through Christ Jesus to not harbor your anger over my sin!  Help me to not harbor guilt, shame or fear over it either.  Also, by your powerful love, help me to not harbor a grudge when others let me down or hurt me.  Give me peace as I harbor your truth in my heart, and help others to do the same.  In Christ’s name I pray, Amen.
