Worship with Reverence. Not Leftovers

When we worship God, we show him how much – or how little – he is worth to us.  Lately, have you been giving your Savior a heart of reverence, or a heart of leftovers?  It’ll always be true that the more we think about Christ’s finished work for us, the more our hearts will overflow with many reasons why God is worth a lot to us.  That is what prompts us to be all-in as we worship, and not “meh.”

Today’s devotion encourages us to give God reverence in worship, and not mere leftovers!  Watch the message by video here:  https://youtu.be/16YKYyhoMzs

And here is a prayer for today:  Heavenly Savior, I want to be all-in as I worship you.  Draw near to me in your gracious Word, for that is where I am assured of your unfailing love.  Curb my wandering thoughts, so that I think about your activity far more than about my own activity, or someone else’s activity.  You alone can give me a heart that gives you undivided attention and not mere leftovers!  Thank you for that gift Lord, as I worship you in reverence, nearness and awe.  It’s in your holy name that I pray, Amen.
