The part of the Lord’s Prayer we’re going to be covering today is, “Your Kingdom Come”.
That struggle of “Who’s in control?”, “Whose kingdom is winning today?”, goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. They basically declared, “My kingdom come God, not yours!” when they decided to disobey God and eat the forbidden fruit.
What about you?
Sex outside of marriage, being greedy with our money or dishonoring authority…
Are you going to decide MY kingdom first, or God’s kingdom??

Prayer:
Dear Father,
As we pray that your kingdom comes, let your control rule in our hearts. Lead us to let go of our “me-first” attitude for you and you alone. For you rescued us from the dominion of darkness! Help us not to look at our control and our rule, but in yours alone. For you are in control of all things! Guide us in our lives as we let your kingdom rule in our hearts. For you love us each so much! As we walk through this life, guide, help, and lead us to your kingdom always. Let your kingdom be in control always. For we know that one day we will be with you, in your heavenly kingdom.
Forever and ever,
Amen.
