Reflection: Our Citizenship is in Heaven

Today’s devotion will be answering 3 important questions as we dive deeper into Sunday’s Sermon. The theme is  “Our Citizenship is in Heaven!”.  Let’s look at Philippians 3:18-20 and answer:

1. What sin do these Scripture verses point out to me?

2. Where in these Scriptures verses do I see God’s plan of forgiveness through Jesus?

3. What is one attitude adjustment these scripture verses help me to have?

Today’s Prayer:

Almighty God, help me realize that I am a citizen of heaven. Help me not be focused on consuming earthly things, but rather be focused on where my true hope rests; which is in you and your Word. Help me be confident and aware that I am but a foreigner here, heaven is my home. Let me have peace of mind so that whatever dreary,  painful things happen on this earth, heaven is my home. Let me be happy always knowing that my home is in heaven, both now and always.
In your name,
Amen.
