Forgive As God Forgives You

In Matthew 18:21–25, Peter asks how many times he should forgive, Jesus reminds us that forgiveness should not be limited or counted. We are called to forgive others not because their actions are always easy to overlook, but because God has already forgiven us fully and freely. Just as God does not keep a record of our wrongs, we should not keep track of the times others have hurt or offended us.

Forgiveness is a reflection of God’s grace in our lives. When we remember how much we have been forgiven, we are encouraged to extend that same mercy and grace to others. May we choose to forgive freely, let go of resentment, and reflect the love and forgiveness that God has shown us.
