In Gospel of Matthew 17:1–9, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up the mountain and reveals His divine glory. His face shines like the sun, His clothes become dazzling white, and the Father’s voice declares, “This is My Son, whom I love. Listen to Him!” What they witnessed was more than a miracle, it was a revelation of who Jesus truly is.
Peter said, “Lord, it is good for us to be here,” and he was right. It is good to behold Christ in His glory and to be reminded that He is the beloved Son of God, worthy of our worship and trust.
Though they soon walked back down the mountain, they were changed. And so are we. In every season on the mountaintop or in the valley, it is good to be with Jesus. His glory assures us, His voice guides us, and wherever He leads, it is good for us to be there.
