In Matthew 13:1–9, 18–23, Jesus explains that the seed is God’s Word and that the different soils represent the condition of our hearts. We were encouraged to continually listen to God’s Word so that our hearts remain fertile soil where the Gospel can take deep root. As we hear and hold fast to His Word, God strengthens our faith, and the result is an abundant harvest of faith expressed through lives that bear fruit for His glory.
