“See, your king comes to you… righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey.” (Zechariah 9:9–10)
When we think of a king, we picture strength, authority, and power. But Jesus challenges that image. He enters not on a war horse, but on a donkey. Not with force, but with gentleness. This is the kind of King He is. Jesus is fully powerful, righteous, and victorious in every way. Yet His power is not harsh or crushing. It is steady, purposeful, and filled with peace. He doesn’t come to stir up conflict, but to end it. His mission is to bring lasting peace not just to the world, but to our hearts. That means we don’t have to fear His authority. We can trust it. He is strong enough to overcome every battle we face, and gentle enough to carry us through them.
So the question remains: Who is this King in your life?
He is the King who gave His life for our sins and rose again, offering us a peace that is not temporary, but everlasting!
